Naiaja’s track career began as a freshman at Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan, though her speed had been clear since childhood—hilariously chasing a jackrabbit at six and once sprinting down her school bus. Trained by volunteer service members and encouraged by her parents, she quickly excelled, breaking her school’s 100m record.
Crowned state champion in both the 100m and 200m, achieving the highest honor at the state level.
Earned top-5 national ranking in the 200m.
Achieved top-10 U.S. ranking in the 100m.
Set new school records in the 100m, 200m, and 4×100 relay, establishing dominance on the track.
Claimed 1st place in the Stanford Invitational 100m, showing speed on a big stage.
